Anton Barbeau – a regular visitor to the Fruits de Mer label, Ant has roped in Barry ‘The Fish’ Melton (original lead guitarist with the legendary Country Joe McDonald and the Fish) to play some searing guitar on ‘Dogstar’, and Ant backs it with his take on the Robyn Hitchcock song, ‘Queen Of Eyes’.

Ant on ‘The Fish’… “He showed up with a custom-built Mesa Boogie amp. It was LOUD! He played at Woodstock volume, seriously. Amazing vibe. And did I mention it was LOUD?? We worked on two songs at the session, one called "I Used To Say Your Name," which I'd written for Allyson Seconds, and the song of the day, "Dog Star." I knew Barry was THE dude for the song and it was an honour and a thrill to have him on board”.

An Ant original song, with a psych guitar hero on-board, plus a great Hitchcock cover - and we're only pressing 300 copies - could be a bit of a rush for this one.
